Plans to Develop New Homes in All Saints – Have Your Say
Join us for planning event
Countryside Properties have applied for planning permission to build 168 new homes on the long vacant Cable Street site in All Saints. This development will have significant impact on All Saints, particularly in the following areas:
- Highways and Access. The application may raise road safety issues including safe routes to School, cycle routes and pedestrian routes to the City centre, Southside Sports and crossing Steelhouse Lane.
- Affordable housing. Whether extent of social housing proposed for the site is sufficient to meet local need.
- Open space and canal. Adequacy of open space within the development and importance of linking with the canal.
- Impact on local infrastructure. Whether implications of the development of 168 new homes on local schools, healthcare & nursery places have been fully considered.
Before submitting a formal response to the planning application ASAN would like to consult with local residents to get your feedback on the implications of such a large scale housing development.
To enable the above ASAN has organised a brief workshop which will examine the details of the above planning application and consider its potential impact. The meeting will be held on:
Thursday 19th April 2018 at 5.30pm in
The Workspace, All Saints Road, Wolverhampton WV2 1EL
(light refreshments to be provided).
